Okay, dieting is something that Jon Benson hates. How ironic is it that someone who absolutely hates dieting steps out and writes one of the hottest, and most sought after online diet books?
Jon has written the Every Other Day Diet, or EODD diet plan, to help people who often find themselves struggling to stay focused when trying to lose weight. The new book, the Every Other Day Diet, has been written for everyone who has found themselves on that proverbial diet treadmill, and they just can’t seem get off of it.
Mr. Benson brings his experience as a fitness and life coach to this book, as well as someone who knows people struggling with a variety of weight loss diets. What he’s discovered is sometimes it’s the person doing something wrong, but more often it’s the diet plan itself that’s wrong for them.
EODD has been written as an alternative to those regular diet plans that aren’t working. He offers people a road map to a healthier choice of lifestyle for those willing to follow it.
Mr. Benson has continued to update EODD to represent the newest thoughts about fitness and dieting, and the book available is a second edition. You many think it’s odd that a fitness coach would believe “fat is fuel” and needed by our bodies in processing energy, but that’s exactly what Jon Benson writes about. What you read in most of the diet books is how fat is the “enemy” and how you want it to be gone forever.
However, when you step back and think about it, how true is that?
If we’re living in the real world we all know the first hurdle we face is all those fatty foods the minute we end a really strict diet regimen. A lot of those are comfort foods, and they are tremendously tough, if not impossible, to let go of. So what are you suppose to do – just be ashamed and forget about ever losing those extra pounds?

No,there are other options available to you.
Let’s suppose that two of your favorite eats are cheeseburgers and chocolate ice cream. However, you’ve dutifully made a solid commitment to dieting, so you will forgo these favorite foods to keep your promise to improve your health. Then what transpires is you start the diet and you do terrific on it for several weeks, right?
However,as you’re watch TV one evening and notice a commercial that your favorite fast food chain is putting your favorite type of cheeseburger and their ice cream sundaes on sale this weekend – and your commitment begins to waver.
Even though you successfully keep yourself from grabbing your keys and heading out the door to order that burger, you end up dreaming about all the favorite foods that night and how much you would give for just one little bite of that burger in front of you during your dream!
Does any of this have a familiar ring?
The following day find yourself angry about committing to a diet plan that has you eating tasteless, cardboard types of food. The next time someone comes in with a pizza and asks if you’d like some, you figure you’ve paid your dues on the diet, and you have a piece.
At that moment you know the diet has officially ended. However, the mirror still shows you all the extra weight and flab that you wanted to get rid of is still there. That’s why Jon Benson created the EODD – he understands people like you. Rather than beating yourself up for succumbing to that piece of pizza, you can learn to make it a part of your diet, and find out how to enjoy eating the pizza at the same time you’re losing weight.
Besides, you can go ahead and eat that pizza, enjoy the cheeseburger and fries, and indulge yourself with that decadent chocolate ice cream – two scoops! However, you’ll find you will be eating a lot more healthy foods when you see how the EODD plan is structured.
I can say from experience that you’ll find it a real pleasure to toss out the guilt, start eating healthier food, losing that unwanted weight, and still be able to indulge in junk food on occasion.
